THE National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) recently came to an agreement with Globe Telecoms to launch a new amateur circuit beginning this year and assure high caliber tournaments. Jesus Romero, the head of business for Globe, and NGAP Secretary General Jun Arceo and director Tommy Manotoc, also the chair of tournaments and youth development program committees, sealed the deal with a handshake.
Philip Ella Juico, the president of Wack Wack and concurrent head of the NGAP's private sector for golf development, played a huge part in Landing the deal that would help the country's golf body hold at least 10 more important events this year. "Globe is very happy to be associated with the NGAP and help in the grass roots development program," Romero said. "This is a classic example of the private sector helping an NSA," Juico, the former Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman, said. "We are more than happy to be able to contribute to the national team in the future." PNA
