All about breakfast


LET me ask this question, are you having a nutritious breakfast? Studies have shown that almost 50 percent of the students now in different Schools are not having breakfast due to very early schedule, hard to prepare, and no food to prepare. If there is breakfast, they call it poor breakfast because of high fats, high sodium and cholesterol. The result is poor grade, poor health, poor memory retention, irritability, head ache, no endurance. If this will continue, not only scholastic record will fail but mental, health and physical aspect will be affected. According to some studies, if physical aspect will be affected, other aspect too can be damaged.

It is very important that people will really have their breakfast because there is a relationship between the mind and the stomach (White, E.G). That is why "a clogged stomach is a clogged brain" (White, E.G) meaning what you eat is what you are. If what you eat is not propertly digested, there is no solid nutrients that can reach in the brain so it will affect the brain, the activity of the brain, muscles, energy and other parts of the body. The body needs carbohydrates, high protein and high fiber for growth and energy. If these nutrients are absent during breakfast or early in the morning, you will suffer fatigue, your attention will be hindered, your activity can't continue until the end of the day, your eyes will suffer weakness and some of your problems will appear. These problems are the results of your lifestyles because "lifestyle is the sum up of daily actions, behaviour, decisions and works" (Galves, C.A 2011 During Mph lecture in AIIAS).

I have a friend who had a gastro problem, he went to see a gastrointerologist. His doctor told him that he had an in flamed stomach. And the doctor told him to stay away from pressure of work or stress. Why stress or pressure from work? It is because, if you are pressured in work, you can't eat your breakfast at the right time or you will eat your breakfast but you will be in a hurry. Therefore your stomach can't digest the food very well. When your stomach can't function properly, what happened to the food in the stomach? Clogged! Nutrients, or what are in the food, can't be spread to your brain, to your cells and to those organs who needed them most so they can also do or function whatever needs arise during your whole day activity.*
