DAVAO ORIENTAL --Photography enthusiasts and budding hobbyists composed mainly of students are among the members of the Camera Club of Tagum which formally organized recently at BonHomie Leisure and Resort in Banay-Banay, Davao Oriental. Taking the helm of the camera club's leadership is a Lightform International Photography graduate in United Arab Emirates (UAE) Eric Castillo as president with Kits Quilla as vice president. John Castillo sits as the club's secretary, Carlo Chan as treasurer, Rick Randolph Coraje as auditor and James Lou Castillo and MJ dela Cruz as public relation officers. Astrophil Reyes, one of the city's highly-sought photographers, serves as the adviser.
The set of officers will be serving for a one-year term where they are expected to propel the vision of the club of bringing together photography afi cionados in "one caring and sharing community." Tagum City information offi cer Edwin Lasquite led the swearing-in of the pioneering members while renowned shutterbug RoLando Yap of the Camera Club of Davao did the same for the officers.
Armed with cameras, lenses, tripods filters, and other photography-related equipment, officers and members went around BonHomie Leisure and Resort, with eyes wide open and artistic gestalt in search for the "picture perfect in portraiture moment", ready to express themselves not with words but with images, with dazzling model - Zee Palermo Zaragosa - and the scenery as subjects.
