Gov Plaza joins PNoy visit to Sendong victims in CdO

Agusan del Sur Governor Adolph Edward "Eddiebong" Plaza visits Cagayan de Oro City along with President Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino and 13 other governors from different provinces all over the country on January 25, 2012. Pres. Aquino arrived in Cagayan de Oro with Vice President Jejomar Binay, Social Welfare Secretary Corazon Soliman and other heads of government agencies to look over the relocation site for survivors who lost their homes due to floods water that hit the city wrought by Typhoon Sendong.
The visit was aimed to assess the needs for immediate interventions and assistance for the victims in Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, and Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental on December 16 last year. It was remembered that the provincial government dispatched a relief aid to victims of typhoon Sendong in Cagayan de Oro to help the needy victims. Some 200 boxes of can goods, sacks of rice, another 200 boxes of noodles, and used clothing's were donated by the province. Apart from that, Governor Adolph Edward Plaza sent two teams of the Search and Rescue Agusan del Sur (SARAS) for clearing and retrieval operations in Barangay Bulua. MED/PPIO-AGSUR
