A READER sent me this message: "About the P200 million for Habitat, it was to be issued to the city through DSWD by the national government. But when Dongkoy returned the P14-million check issued by the national government through DSWD, that's when Dongkoy made war with PNoy." Well and good. Maybe the "lord" felt slighted because the mayor of Iligan City was given more. But you can't blame the president. Mayor Lawrence Cruz was always seen doing something for the victims. Here, the reports are crystal clear. Whatever, some quarters are happy that way. The "lord" has always been nontransparent. P200 million is quite big for one who refuses to understand what "accountability" means. The national government just wanted to play safe. Another said this: "Did Ramon Tabor lose touch? There was a time everyone admired him when he lost in an election. He conceded and removed his posters. After that, he changed. Maybe he thought that it's time to be a bootlicker in order to be back. That's what he does. And I think he is more than willing to wash his face with the lord's s@#$ if the lord says so."
Indeed, that was the best moment of Tabor. I remember that. But now they are all in deep s@#$. Who dares say something against the master without the risk of seeing the tables turned against themselves? When the skeletons are identical, who dares dig into another's closet?

We were having our Kiwanis meeting last Saturday evening at the Bamboo Tea House when Sen. Chiz Escudero came in and caught us by surprise. It was Phividec top honcho Leo Magno who brought him there together with his usual close friends Victor Corpuz and Mike Celdran, and of course, the Karancho group. The good senator was his usual self-- simple. He was very comfortable to be with during more than 30 minutes of chat with other customers in the restaurant. We talked about the power issue, the impeachment and the presidential election. When asked about his joining the presidential race, he was very coy about it.
The impeachment issue took most of our time. I would rather not write about his thoughts on it since he is a senator judge. Let's just wait for the outcome of the impeachment trial. The "lord" made a surprise appearance, too. He came obviously to see Sen. Escudero. He was no longer his usual self, no longer the powerful man in control. They talked in private at one corner of Bamboo Tea House. There was no ice to break.
